CTS-V 4-Link Solid Axle Rear Cradle Conversion
Our 4-Link Solid Axle Rear Cradle Conversion for the CTS-V is finally here — the result of countless hours of design, testing, and fabrication. We built this system from the ground up to give CTS-V owners a reliable, high-performance rear-end solution that can handle serious power and repeat passes at the track.
This cradle replaces the heavy OEM IRS assembly with a fully bolt-on, lightweight chromoly setup that accepts Mustang-style rear suspension geometry. The design allows you to run an 8.8” or 9” Mustang housing, use adjustable torque boxes, and make easy suspension adjustments for different track conditions.
Built for strength, simplicity, and serviceability — this cradle is what the CTS-V rear end should’ve been from the start.
Features
Constructed from .095” wall 1.5” chromoly
TIG-welded and built entirely in-house
Fully bolt-on installation
Requires fuel cell (due to clearance)
Designed around Mustang “stock suspension” points
Adjustable chromoly torque boxes
Compatible with 8.8” or 9” Mustang housings
Weighs just under 60 lbs (OEM cradle is ~121 lbs)
Anti-roll bar and shock tabs installed
Allows clearance for up to a 4” driveshaft
Uses 5” stroke coil-over shocks
Utilizes ¼” torque boxes with ⅛” doublers
Comes raw — powder coating available +$450 (black is default, custom colors by request)
⚠️ Mounting hardware (control arms, shocks, anti-roll bar) not included.
Ships via freight: ~$350 residential w/ lift gate, ~$250 business. (Billed separately once complete.)
Ordering & Lead Time
All cradles are built to order in-house with a typical lead time of 6–8 weeks, depending on workload.
All fabrication sales are final and non-refundable.
